And because jojoba oil is so similar to the sebum our bodies produce naturally, people who've done studies on jojoba found that after putting it on, our brains send out a kind of "all clear" signal to our bodies letting our skin know 'everything's good here' so it doesn't produce more sebum, which can cause greasiness and acne.
